GRANADA OZHAROVSKA

Salad Granada Ozharovska is an early-ripening, high-yield variety intended for growing in open ground in the spring and autumn. From mass germination to the formation of a dense, round head takes from 55 to 75 days depending on the climate zone. The salad heads are large, often exceeding a mass of 1.5 kg, the leaves are gray-green in color, tender and possess high taste qualities. The variety is distinguished by a long period of commercial use and resistance to the formation of flowering shoots, which allows the product to retain its market appearance for a longer time.

Growing the salad is possible both by direct sowing into the ground and by seedling method. To create a continuous harvest, it is recommended to carry out sowings with an interval of 12-15 days. The sowing rate is 2-3 grams per 10 square meters, the depth of seed sowing is from 0.5 to 3 cm depending on the planting method. Seedlings appear at a temperature of +3 to +4°C, optimal conditions for growth are +15-20°C. The salad is sensitive to overcrowding, so timely thinning is necessary to ensure the recommended plant density of 15-20 pieces per square meter.

For successful growing of Granada Ozharovska, light, nutrient-rich soils are preferable. Care for plants is standard for the growing region. Thinning is carried out at the 2-3 leaf stage, leaving plants at a distance of 5-6 cm in the row, and when final formation is completed - 15-20 cm. Plants pulled out during thinning can be used as seedlings or for food as leaf salad. One gram of seeds contains from 800 to 1200 seeds, which ensures good germination and the possibility of planning sowings.
