Description Dendy
Salad DENDY is a late-ripening romaine type variety that matures in 75-80 days from full emergence to harvest of greenery. The leaf rosette is elevated, forming an elongated oval head of large size, weighing up to 300 grams. Leaves are large, oval, dark green, with a smooth edge and slight blistering, possessing a dense and leathery consistency. The variety is neutral to day length and distinguished by high resistance to temperature fluctuations, making it suitable for growing in open ground. DENDY is resistant to bolting and marginal burn, as well as relatively drought-resistant, providing stable growth and development of the plant under various climatic conditions. It is recommended to sow seedlings in March with subsequent transplanting into open ground in April-May. The sowing rate is 0.1-0.2 grams per square meter, and the planting scheme is 20x30 cm. Yield varies from 2.6 to 5.0 kg per square meter depending on growing conditions. The variety stands out for its good transportability and prolonged period of commercial fitness, making it attractive to gardeners and vegetable growers. The head of DENDY is loose and open, which facilitates harvesting and subsequent processing. Thanks to its qualities and characteristics, this salad is great for growing in garden plots and provides a stable and high-quality harvest.
