The leaf lettuce "Sorvanets" is an early-maturing variety, reaching technical maturity 35-40 days after seedlings emerge. The plant rosette is compact and upright, reaching a height of 15-16 cm and a diameter of 25-28 cm, with a mass of approximately 150 g. The leaves are large, light green, strongly blistered and wavy at the edges, with a frizzy structure. Due to delayed stem elongation, the rosettes do not overgrow for long, allowing them to maintain their attractive appearance and quality for an extended period. The variety is distinguished by its resistance to leaf edge scorching, which increases its reliability when growing.
"Sorvanets" is recommended for growing both in open ground and in greenhouses of any type, starting from early spring until late autumn. For successful growth, the lettuce prefers fertile, drained, and neutral pH soils. Sowing seeds is done in open ground at a depth of 1-2 cm, and thinning is carried out at the 2-3 true leaf stage, leaving a distance of 8-10 cm between plants. For full development of the rosette, a growing area of 20x20 cm is required. For continuous greens production, repeated sowing with an interval of 10-15 days or until mid-August is recommended. Plants require timely watering, regular weeding, hoeing, and feeding with mineral fertilizers.
The leaves of the "Sorvanets" lettuce have a crunchy texture and appetizing appearance, as well as a delicate taste. They are a rich source of vitamins, trace elements, and other beneficial biologically active substances. Due to their taste qualities, the lettuce goes well with various vegetable, meat, and fish dishes, and is also suitable for use in sandwiches. This variety is an excellent choice for those who value fresh, healthy, and tasty greens in their diet.
