Lettuce MAGICIAN

Growing Practice: 'Charodeyka' Lettuce

For those involved in leafy vegetable production, selecting seeds from 'Agrofirma Aelita' is often a foundational decision. The 'Charodeyka' variety is a classic leaf lettuce that has gained popularity among farmers for its consistency. If you are planning a conveyor-belt harvesting schedule, this variety proves its value completely.

Vegetation and Care

During the growing process, this variety shows medium maturation times. The plant forms a neat, light-green rosette that looks highly marketable. It is essential to remember that leaf varieties require timely watering: a moisture deficit causes the leaves to toughen, while excess moisture makes them too fragile for transport. Optimal irrigation management is the key to ensuring each plant reaches its expected average mass.

Agronomic Notes

• Planting: The variety thrives in open fields and under film covers. Planting density is best adjusted based on soil structure; rosettes develop more vigorously in nutrient-rich loams.
• Harvesting: Its mid-season maturity allows for planned market deliveries. We recommend harvesting in the early morning when the leaves are fully hydrated, which preserves quality during storage.
• Operational Tips: Since 'Charodeyka' is a selective development by the team of Vladimir Kachaynik and Mikhail Gulkin, its genetic potential allows for consistent results when standard agricultural practices are followed. Avoid over-maturing on the bed, as this detracts from the flavor profile.

This is a reliable choice for those who value variety purity and predictable outcomes without the surprise of premature bolting. In temperate climates, it performs steadily, requiring no specialized fertilizers beyond standard nitrogen-potassium feeding during the initial growth stages.
