Cabbage Capital

Early Harvest Stability

For commercial vegetable growers, early-season cabbage production is always a race against both the calendar and potential plant diseases. The «Kapital» variety, developed by VNIIISSOK, stands out as a pragmatic solution for the fresh market. It reaches maturity in 40–50 days after transplanting, allowing for a swift turnover and early revenue.

Why choose Kapital?

The core strength of this variety is its genetic resilience against rot, a common issue in early-spring planting when soil moisture levels are volatile. Unlike many foreign hybrids that require perfect, intensive management, «Kapital» offers greater flexibility without sacrificing the visual appeal needed for the fresh market.

• Maturity: 40–50 days (post-transplant), facilitating efficient harvest planning.
• Crop Quality: Uniform round heads weighing 1.0–1.5 kg, perfectly sized for retail demand.
• Disease Management: Strong tolerance to rot pathogens significantly reduces the necessity for heavy fungicide interventions.

«Kapital» is an ideal choice for small-to-medium scale farmers who prioritize reliable results over experimental high-maintenance varieties. Its ability to maintain head structure and quality while resisting fungal infections makes it a staple for those looking to avoid common field losses. It is simple, consistent, and well-adapted for regions where the early season brings unpredictable environmental stressors.
