Lettuce Cherokee

Cherokee lettuce belongs to the Batavia/Grand Rapids type and is intended for fresh market use. This leafy variety is early maturing and suitable for cultivation in open ground. Cherokee features deep red leaf color, giving it an attractive appearance and high consumer quality. Thanks to its strong leaf structure, the lettuce is ideal for preparing salad mixes.

The plant has a strong, open growth form with good leaf coverage, which promotes efficient photosynthesis and development. A robust root system ensures plant stability and good nutrition, positively affecting its growth and yield. Cherokee has an extended storage period, allowing it to maintain freshness and quality over a prolonged time.

A key feature of this variety is its high resistance to bolting and necrosis, ensuring stable yields and reducing losses during cultivation. Resistance is confirmed against several diseases (HR: Bl:16,21,23,32EU). The variety is produced by Rijk Zwaan from the Netherlands, guaranteeing high seed quality and compliance with modern agronomic standards.
