The «Brazilian Carnival» salad is an early-maturing leaf variety with a vegetative period of 45–50 days. The plant forms a loose, lush rosette with a diameter of 25–30 cm and a height of about 25–35 cm. The leaves are a rich dark red or burgundy color, blistered with strongly wavy edges, and possess a tender and juicy texture. The salad has a soft, tender taste without bitterness, making it an excellent choice for fresh salads and other culinary dishes.
This variety is distinguished by high resistance to leaf burn and false powdery mildew, which ensures a stable yield even in rainy weather and various climatic conditions. «Brazilian Carnival» is not demanding in cultivation, however, it requires regular watering, weeding, and soil loosening to achieve maximum productivity. The average yield is 3.0–3.5 kg per square meter.
The salad is suitable for cultivation both in open ground and in closed rooms. It is valued for its excellent taste qualities and useful composition, containing vitamins and minerals that contribute to strengthening health. Due to its decorative coloring and resistance to diseases, the variety is widely used for producing bunch products and processing.
