DIMAN is a strain of hemp (Cannabis sativa L. ssp. sativa) intended for use as green hemp (green hemp fiber). It is characterized by an early time of full seed maturity and a medium-early monoecious type. The stem of the plant is long and yellow, and the leaves are light green. The vegetative period is 118 days, which allows obtaining a stable harvest in optimal terms. The mass of 1000 seeds is equal to 18.7 grams, while mosaicism of seeds is absent, indicating the high quality of planting material.
The yield of the strain is quite high: the average yield of stems reaches 84.9 centners per hectare, with a fiber content of 30.2%. The output of long fiber is 25.8%, and the tensile strength of the fiber is 27.4 kgf, which indicates the strength and quality of the raw material. The seed yield reaches 11.3 centners per hectare. The strain is distinguished by its resistance to diseases, in particular, it is weakly affected by gray mold, which facilitates care and increases the reliability of cultivation.
DIMAN is suitable for growing in various climatic conditions of the central belt of Russia and is a promising choice for those engaged in the production of hemp fiber and seeds. Thanks to its characteristics, it can be used in industrial and agricultural production, ensuring high quality of raw materials and a stable harvest.
