Hemp Antonio

The Antonio hemp variety (Cannabis sativa L. ssp. sativa) is a medium-Volga single-gender culture recommended for cultivation in green zones in medium-Volga hemp growing regions. This variety is included in the State Register for all growing zones, confirming its adaptability and resistance to various climatic conditions. The vegetative period to technical maturity is 83 days, and to full seed maturity is 113 days, which allows for effective planning of agrotechnical measures and harvest collection.

Antonio variety stems reach a height of 195 to 230 cm and have a diameter of 5.1 to 6.5 cm, with 9-10 internodes. They are characterized by green color and ensure high yield — up to 91.7 centners of stems per hectare. Seeds are light gray, large, the weight of 1000 seeds is 15.3 grams, and seed yield reaches 10.2 centners per hectare. Such indicators make the variety attractive for obtaining both fiber and seeds.

Special attention deserves the quality characteristics of Antonio variety fiber. Fiber content in stems reaches 26.6%, while long fiber output is 16.8%. Breaking load of fiber is 26.4 kgf, and linear density is 23.2 tex, indicating strength and high quality of raw material for textile and other industrial sectors.
