Nadezhda

The "Nadezhda" hemp variety is a medium-Russian monoecious culture with dual-purpose usage included in the State Register of the Russian Federation. The plants reach a height of 200-220 cm, have a conical stem of medium length, and green leaves. The vegetative period is about 110-114 days to full seed maturity, with approximately 80 days to the end of flowering. The mass of 1000 seeds ranges from 17-20 g; the seeds are mosaic and have low shattering. THC content in the plants is low — 0.03-0.05%, making the variety safe for industrial cultivation.

"Nadezhda" is characterized by high resistance to lodging and root rot, as well as medium resistance to leaf spots. The plants are weakly affected by stem gray spot and hemp flea, contributing to stable yields. Maximum stem yield reaches 80-93.3 c/ha, with fiber content of 26-29% and long fiber recovery of 16-18%. The breaking force of the fiber is about 27.5 kgf, indicating high-quality raw material for the textile industry.

The seeds of the "Nadezhda" variety are characterized by high fat content — about 32.8%, making them valuable raw material for oil production. Seed yield reaches 11-13 c/ha, with a sowing rate of 0.6-1.2 million pieces per hectare. Due to its agro-technical characteristics, the variety is recommended for intensive technologies with the use of complex fertilizers. All these qualities make "Nadezhda" a universal and promising hemp variety for various agricultural sectors.
