RIGS hemp variety is a first-generation hybrid of the species Cannabis sativa L. ssp. sativa, intended for dual-purpose use — for obtaining both fiber and seeds. This medium-maturity variety is characterized by a medium time of full seed maturation, which occurs later, and a vegetative period lasting up to 128 days. RIGS is characterized by a medium green stem length and green leaf color, indicating its adaptation to various climatic conditions.

The RIGS variety is characterized by high yield: average stem yield reaches 176.5 centners per hectare, with fiber content at 26.9% and long fiber yield at 21.0%. The breaking load of the fiber is 32.0 kgf, indicating the strength and quality of the obtained material. Seed yield is 18.2 centners per hectare, while the weight of 1000 seeds is 15.4 grams. Fat content in seeds reaches 31.6%, making them a valuable raw material for oil and food product production.

The RIGS variety is grown at the base of OOO 'Mordovia Fiber Plants', one of the largest hemp-growing enterprises in Russia, which is the official originator of this variety.
