Zov

Potato variety Zov is a medium-early table variety developed at the Polissia Experimental Station named after A.N. Zasuhin and recommended for cultivation in several regions, including southern areas of Ukraine. This variety is valued for its high yield and resistance of tubers to mechanical damage, making it convenient for transportation and storage. Tubers have a round shape, white skin, and weigh between 88–136 grams. The flesh is light-yellow, does not darken upon processing, and has excellent taste qualities, making it popular for table use.

Zov has good resistance to potato scab, but is susceptible to late blight and dry rot, so regular treatment with fungicides is recommended for successful cultivation. The variety suits cultivation in the southern regions of Ukraine with a mild climate, where it shows stable results with proper care. Plants have upright growth, and leaves have a rich green color.

This potato variety is distinguished by high marketability and good adaptability to various soil-climatic conditions. Thanks to its early maturity, Zov allows harvesting within a short period, which is especially important for regions with a limited growing season. Its large, smooth tubers with pale purple skin and dull yellow flesh make it attractive to both consumers and producers.
