Briz

The Briz potato variety is a mid-early, high-yielding variety with large oval yellow tubers. Tubers weigh from 97 to 154 grams, with yellow skin and flesh that does not darken when cut and has a rich flavor. The flesh is weakly starched, making this variety ideal for table use, as well as for making french fries and chips. The taste score of boiled potatoes reaches 7 points, and starch content varies from 11 to 14.8%. Tubers have high marketability, ranging from 83 to 98%.

Briz exhibits high resistance to various diseases, including late blight, leaf and tuber Phytophthora, potato scab, PVY and PLRV viruses, as well as mosaic and leaf curl. The variety is easy to grow, tolerates low temperatures well, and does not require special soil conditions, allowing cultivation both in open ground and in greenhouses. The maturation period is about 70 days, with the first tubers forming as early as 40 days.

To successfully grow the Briz variety, it is recommended to maintain proper irrigation, timely fertilization, and weed control. The variety shows stable high yields, averaging about 4 kg per plant, and has high storability, ensuring long-term storage without quality loss.
