Sugar Heart cabbage is a mid-early hybrid of white cabbage, distinguished by its excellent taste, juiciness, and tender texture. The heads have a conical shape, a compact size, and a dense structure with white flesh. The mass of one head reaches 2-2.5 kg, and the yield with proper care and favorable conditions can range from 5 to 8 kg per square meter. Sugar Heart matures on average 70-90 days after transplanting seedlings into open ground, allowing for an early harvest.
This cabbage variety is distinguished by its high resistance to main diseases, such as black leg and bacteriosis, as well as frost and drought resistance. The culture is cold-tolerant, light-loving, and moisture-loving, making it universal for various climatic conditions. To ensure successful cultivation, it is recommended to follow disease prevention measures, maintain optimal moisture levels, and conduct plant treatments in a timely manner.
Growing Sugar Heart cabbage is possible both by the seedling method and by direct sowing of seeds into the ground. Seeds are sown at a depth of 1.5-2 cm, and seedlings are planted 45-50 days after sowing. The plant requires fertile soil and responds positively to fertilizer application. The leaf rosette of this variety is semi-lifted, and the stalk is of medium size, which facilitates harvesting and makes the variety convenient for cultivation in both amateur and professional conditions.
