Red cabbage Primero F1 — an early hybrid variety developed by the Dutch company Bejo Zaden. This variety features a medium growing period of 75-80 days and is suitable for direct sowing in protected ground as well as for transplanting into open soil. Plants form round, compact heads weighing about 2 kilograms with an attractive purple-gray hue, making them popular in fresh markets.
One of the key features of Primero F1 is its strong root system, which provides resistance to water deficiency in the soil. The hybrid offers high yield at a planting density of 40-50 thousand plants per hectare, significantly increasing the output of marketable product. The cabbage has excellent storability and transportability, maintaining its taste and appearance even after prolonged storage and transport. Additionally, the variety is resistant to fusarium and does not tend to crack, facilitating mechanical harvesting and improving harvest quality.
The taste qualities of Primero F1 deserve special attention: the cabbage is free of bitterness, making it ideal for fresh vitamin salads and early spring consumption. Thanks to its juicy and dense head structure, this hybrid is well-suited for cultivation throughout Ukraine, including in plastic tunnels and open ground, ensuring a stable and high-quality harvest.
