Red cabbage variety Ranchero F1 is an early hybrid developed by the European company Bejo Zaden from the Netherlands. This variety is intended for cultivation both in greenhouses for an earlier harvest and in open ground using seedlings. The planting rate is 35-45 thousand seeds per hectare. The vegetation period varies from 75 to 94 days depending on growing conditions. Ranchero F1 is characterized by a strong root system, which ensures resistance to water shortage and promotes good plant development. The cabbage heads have round or slightly elongated shapes, weighing from 1.5 to 3.5 kilograms. Leaves are medium-sized, with a deep purple color and strong waxy coating, providing additional protection against damage during harvesting and transportation. Leaves are slightly wavy-edged and have a thin to medium internal structure. The inner core is short, improving appearance and ease of use. Heads are dense, sometimes very dense, with a beautiful purple cross-section, making the variety attractive for fresh market sales. Ranchero F1 exhibits high resistance to Fusarium wilt and cracking, ensuring prolonged field storage without loss of quality or taste. Yield ranges from 2.6 to 4.2 kilograms per square meter.
