Wild cabbage Ovasa F1

Reliable Performance with Ovasa F1

Working with the Ovasa F1 hybrid from Bejo has proven that this is one of the most predictable mid-late savoy cabbage varieties on the market. With a maturity window of 90–100 days, the plants consistently deliver uniform results. For those managing large fields, the standout feature is the genetic resistance to Fusarium yellows. This significantly reduces the need for frequent fungicide applications, making crop management much more efficient and cost-effective.

Cultivation and Planting Density

The variety thrives when it has enough room to develop its characteristic dark green, bubbled leaves. Overcrowding can negatively impact the head structure, so adhering to these numbers is key to maintaining that perfect round shape that processors demand.

Quality for the Processing Sector

If you are growing for processing plants, Ovasa F1 is a top-tier choice. The leaves are tender yet structurally sound, which makes for excellent slicing and processing performance. The heads are very consistent in size and shape, ensuring minimal waste during trimming.

• Maturity: 90–100 days from transplanting.
• Resilience: Strong resistance to Fusarium wilt.
• Head Size: 1.0–1.5 kg, ideal for uniform packing.
• Color: Deep, dark green, visually appealing.

Ovasa F1 is a professional-grade hybrid built for reliability. It is a solid choice for growers who want to minimize risk while ensuring a high-quality product for the market.
