The 'Lezginka' cabbage variety is a decorative plant with distinctly expressed aesthetic and agronomic qualities. This hybrid is characterized by large inflorescences resembling baskets with a green skirt made of smooth, silky leaves, transitioning to a tender pink center, creating a "daisy-like" effect. Maximum decorative effect and saturated coloring of the rosettes are achieved with the onset of autumn frosts, thanks to which the plant retains an attractive appearance until late autumn.
For growing 'Lezginka' cabbage, it is recommended to sow seeds in April-May for seedlings in sterile soil, followed by keeping at a temperature of around +20°C until germination, which appears in 5-8 days. After 3-4 weeks, the seedlings are transplanted into individual pots, and the temperature is maintained at around +15°C. Planting in the ground is done at an age of 60-70 days. The plant is resistant to short-term frosts and prefers light, well-drained or loamy soils with neutral acidity, responding well to fertilization.
In addition to decorative qualities, the variety has good resistance to unfavorable conditions and diseases, making it suitable for growing in open fields. 'Lezginka' cabbage is characterized by dense, round heads with a mass of 2 to 3.5 kg and a diameter of 15-20 cm. It has a sweet taste, is not prone to cracking, and withstands transport well. The harvest is collected in September-October, and the storage period is 5-6 months, which makes this variety in demand both for decorative use and for commercial cultivation.
