Cabbage RASSVET

Aesthetics and Breeding: German Traditions in Decorative Horticulture

The decorative cabbage 'Rassvet' is the result of a collaboration between the renowned German breeding school Satimex Quedlinburg and specialists representing Ooo Agroplaneta. This hybrid occupies a unique niche in landscape design, moving away from vegetable patches into the category of expressive decorative elements for urban flowerbeds, patios, and autumn gardens.

Agrotechnical Features and Appearance

A key advantage of this variety is its ability to maintain its ornamental qualities in low-temperature conditions, making it indispensable for late autumn arrangements. By forming a dense head with an intense purple color, 'Rassvet' creates vibrant accents where other annuals have already ended their vegetation cycle.

• Plant Type: Decorative cabbage.
• Originators: Satimex Quedlinburg, Svetlana Leonidovna Glebova, Hartmut Klein.
• Manufacturer: Ooo Agroplaneta.
• Color Palette: Deep purple hue.

German breeding guarantees high plant uniformity, which is critical for creating geometrically precise patterns in landscaping. The crop is low-maintenance, though it requires proper irrigation management to develop the rich pigment of the head. In climates with mild frosts, 'Rassvet' is capable of retaining its aesthetic appeal almost until the arrival of stable snow cover.
