Candid Sharm is a high-quality mid-season hybrid of cauliflower, characterized by its vigorous growth and good adaptability to various climatic conditions. The vegetation period is approximately 75-80 days, allowing it to be grown in spring and summer with harvest in summer and autumn. The plants exhibit high resistance to heat and fusarium wilt, making the hybrid hardy and productive.
The cauliflower heads are large, dense, cup-shaped, white, and well-protected by leaves from sunburn and excessive moisture. Average head weight ranges from 1.0 to 2.0 kg, ensuring high yield — up to 4.9 kg per square meter. The leaf rosette is elevated, and the cauliflower has an excellent taste, making it suitable for fresh consumption, preparing side dishes, soups, and canning.
Growing features include sowing seedlings in mid-April, transplanting in the cotyledon stage, and planting in the ground in mid-May at a spacing of 30x50 cm. When transplanting, plants are buried up to the first true leaf, which promotes good rooting and development. The hybrid’s producer is the Japanese company Sakata, guaranteeing high quality and stable yield.
