Description Malimba F1
Brussels sprouts F1 — an ultra-early hybrid of colored cabbage of Dutch selection, distinguished by a short maturation period from germination to technical maturity — only 80-90 days, and from transplanting seedlings to harvest 55-58 days. The cabbage head is flat-round, smooth, milky-white, dense, and weighs from 0.5 to 1.5 kg. Wide leaves provide good self-shading, protecting the head from damage and preserving product quality. This hybrid is ideal for early market production and is recommended for processing and freezing due to its excellent taste and stable high yield, reaching 2.8-4 kg per square meter.

Brussels sprouts F1 can be grown both by direct sowing into open ground and by seedlings. For seedlings, seeds are sown in March or mid-April, germination occurs within 5-7 days, and transplanting into the ground is conducted from late May to mid-June at a spacing of 50x30-50 cm. The plant requires fertile soil with adequate moisture and responds well to nitrogen-potassium fertilizers, as well as micronutrient feedings such as molybdenum and boron, which prevent leaf deformation and head rot. The first feeding is applied at the two-true-leaf stage, the second — a few days before transplanting.

To preserve quality and prevent damage after head formation, it is recommended to shade the heads by breaking off 1-2 leaves above them. The best preceding crops for growing Brussels sprouts F1 are legumes, cucumbers, and potatoes. Brussels sprouts F1 adapts well to various growing conditions, but the best results are achieved using plastic covers, which enable early and high-quality harvest of colored cabbage.
