Cabbage Flamingo

Consistent performance in late-season production

Choosing a hybrid for late-season rotation requires a delicate balance between shelf life and marketable appearance. «Flamingo» by «Agrosvit» meets this need for producers planning sales beyond the peak season, even well into winter. When transplanting, it is crucial to maintain a density of 25,000–35,000 plants/ha; this ensures optimal nutrient uptake for each head, allowing them to reach the target weight of 1.0–2.0 kg without stressing the root system.

Field experience and storability

In practice, this variety exhibits excellent head uniformity. Its rounded, dense structure is critical for both transport and warehouse storage. Cauliflower is a demanding crop, yet «Flamingo» shows significant resilience to field stressors when standard agronomic practices are followed. With a 120–130 day maturity window, it is a reliable late-season choice that produces tight, firm heads capable of lasting up to 6 months in storage.

Commercial utility

The versatility of this hybrid makes it a smart investment. The dense structure of the curd allows it to be sold on the fresh market in a highly presentable state or diverted to industrial processing if market demand shifts. Storage trials in controlled environments show minimal loss, a fact confirmed by farms utilizing seed material from PP «Agrosvit».
