Health Spring – a perennial plant up to 0.5 m high, distinguished by bright inflorescences of pink, white, and lilac colors, emitting a spicy aroma from June to September. This attracts bees and serves as an excellent source of honey.
The medicinal properties of hyssop are confirmed by both folk and modern medicine: it is used for bronchitis, cough, asthma, sore throats, colds, as well as for stomatitis, gingivitis, tonsillitis, and conjunctivitis. Internal use – infusion for the treatment of chronic colic, digestive disorders, constipation, and flatulence; external – ointments and compresses for inflammatory skin, eye, and mouth diseases.
In cooking, hyssop is used as a spice: fresh or dried leaves are added to vegetable, meat, and fish dishes, as well as in canning. Leaves are rich in vitamin C and can be used as a bactericidal agent. The plant is easy to grow on fertile soil with good drainage; regular watering, weeding, and mineral fertilization contribute to healthy growth and increase the content of essential oils in the greens.
