Description ROMAN KOOSH MOUNTAIN
Roman Koosh Mountain is a large-fruited kumquat with self-fruitfulness and a late ripening period. The fruits weigh from 150 to 290 grams, have a pale orange color, juicy flesh, and a pleasant aroma. The taste combines sweetness and a slight astringency, making them especially valuable for both home consumption and commercial harvesting.

The tree reaches a height of up to 5 meters, has a sprawling rounded crown, and a vigorous structure. This allows it to be grown in open areas with good lighting and ensures resistance to wind loads. The variety is frost-resistant – withstands temperatures down to -25 °C, making it suitable for regions with cold winters.

Care for the plant is simple: in the first 2-3 years after planting, seedlings are recommended to be covered for winter to protect tender shoots from severe frost. Once the tree forms a stable crown, it does not require chemical treatment and is rarely prone to diseases. In spring, pruning should be carried out to remove dry branches and shape the crown, as well as apply nitrogen-containing fertilizers; in autumn, potassium fertilizers will help maintain fruiting. Thanks to its ease of cultivation and high yield, "Roman Koosh Mountain" becomes a popular choice for both amateur gardeners and commercial plantations.
