GOLDEN SPILLS

Golden Spills are tulips characterized by a bright light greenish-yellow flower with a diameter of about 4 cm and a height of approximately 8 cm. The plant belongs to the garden group of simple late tulips and reaches a height of 46 cm. Its leaves are green and wavy, while the scape is sturdy, straight, and nearly 38 cm long. The flower has a bright yellow stamen thread, anthers, and pollen are also yellow; the aroma is weak but pleasant. The flowering period lasts from 10 to 14 days, with minimal petal shedding and color fading.

Golden Spills are excellent for both decorative landscaping and cut flower arrangements. In a vase, they maintain freshness for approximately seven days, and their transportability is high due to the dense structure of the scapes. The bulbs are round, dark brown, and have a multiplication coefficient of 3.6 for the first selection, indicating high storability.

The plant is resistant to the mottled mosaic virus and Fusarium, with moderate resistance to Botrytis. It has high winter hardiness and average heat tolerance. Golden Spills are a favorite for rock gardens due to their light-loving and drought-resistant nature. After flowering, light pruning is recommended to maintain shape and stimulate new growth.
