Sea Sunset is a Hippeastrum distinguished by large double flowers of bicolor: bright red and white. Flowers reach a diameter of up to 24 cm, their shape resembles striped lilies, and pointed petals create an impressive visual accent. Thanks to these characteristics, the plant attracts attention both in the garden and in the interior, offering a sense of luxury and elegance.
Hippeastrum bulbs are large; usually one bulb forms two to three flower stalks. Inflorescence stems reach 100–150 cm in height, are upright and hollow, which gives the plant slenderness and stability. Leaves are basal, linear or oblanceolate, dense with a pronounced keel on the underside, providing good support for large flowers.
Hippeastrum flowers possess zygomorphic structure: large, horizontally spreading, often decorated with stripes and spots of another shade. They are gathered in umbellate inflorescences of two to four (sometimes six) flowers, creating a bright and fragrant spectacle. Flowering occurs from late November to June, which allows using the plant as a decorative element almost year-round.
