When it comes to controlling perennial rhizomatous weeds like couch grass or thistle, experimenting with cheap generics often leads to re-spraying. Using the original systemic herbicide from Monsanto is the way to solve weed pressure in a single pass. When using it on oats, oilseed rape, or vegetables, you quickly appreciate its predictability: the active ingredient (glyphosate in the form of potassium salt) penetrates the leaf blade efficiently and translocates throughout the entire plant, reaching the root system.

Application and Dosage

From an operator's perspective, the aqueous solution formulation is highly convenient for tank mixing. The product mixes easily, does not clog sprayer nozzles, and doesn't foam excessively. Based on field use, application rates range from 2.0 to over 3.0 liters per hectare, depending on the weed density and species composition (ranging from common lambsquarters to Canada thistle).

It is important to remember: this is a non-selective herbicide. When applied correctly during the active growth phase of weeds, visible effects appear within 5-7 days, and within 10-14 days, the field is clean and ready for the next stage of the agricultural cycle.
