Description Milagro 040 SC
MILAGRO, CS — selective, systemic, post-emergence herbicide for controlling annual and perennial grassy and certain broadleaf weeds in corn fields for grain and silage.

Active ingredient
nicosulfuron, 40 g/l

Chemical class
sulfonamides

Base unit
5 L

Advantages
post-emergence systemic herbicide with selective action for corn grown for grain or silage
excellent control of grassy and certain broadleaf weeds, including persistent perennials emerging from seeds or roots, such as goosegrass and crabgrass
application possible over a wide range of crop growth stages
ease and simplicity in preparing a quality working solution due to the addition of surfactants
short soil degradation period

Compatibility with other pesticides
MILAGRO, CS is compatible with other pesticides (KARATE, CS, KARATE ZEON, MKS, CALLISTO, CS, BANVEL, VR, DUAL GOLD, CS), applied at the same time. However, in each specific case, mixed pesticides should be tested for compatibility. Before preparing tank mixtures, carefully review the information on the labels of the pesticide components, ensuring their application times coincide. Do not use MILAGRO, CS in tank mixtures with herbicides lentagran and bazagran (leaf burn) or herbicides based on 2,4-D (antagonism in controlling grassy weeds).

Crop rotation flexibility
MILAGRO, CS rapidly degrades in moist, well-heated, and microbiologically active soils with acidic reaction (pH<7). If necessary, reseeding of corn treated with herbicide MILAGRO, CS can be conducted in spring — only with corn or after plowing — soybean, in autumn — winter barley or wheat. Any crop can be planted the following year after applying MILAGRO, CS. There is a risk of damage to the subsequent crop in crop rotation on soils with alkaline reaction (pH>8) if dry conditions prevailed after applying MILAGRO, CS and before sowing the next crop. In such cases, pay special attention to the crop’s resistance to nicosulfuron, which increases in the following sequence: sugar beet** > tomatoes > buckwheat > flax > wheat > barley > rapeseed > oats > soybean > corn (** — sugar beet and tomatoes are the most sensitive crops to nicosulfuron).

Protective period
45-60 days depending on application rate, weed species composition, growth stage of weeds, and weather conditions after application.

Speed of action
Depends on the growth stage and physiological condition of weeds, as well as weather conditions at the time of application and shortly thereafter. Under favorable conditions, growth of sensitive weeds stops within 6 hours after spraying. Complete weed death occurs within 7-20 days after treatment.

Application technology
Check the cleanliness of the tank, main pipelines, and sprayers, as well as the overall functionality of the sprayer before beginning protective work. Then determine the quantity and uniformity of water delivery through the sprayers and compare with calculated data for working solution consumption per 1 ha. Spraying is conducted during morning or evening hours in calm weather, avoiding drift of the product onto neighboring crops. Apply MILAGRO, CS to actively growing weeds within temperature range of +15°С to +30°С. Maximum efficiency is achieved when treating weeds at the 2-4 leaf stage for broadleaf annuals, 3-5 leaf stage for grassy weeds, and at a height of 20-30 cm for perennial grassy weeds. MILAGRO, CS suppresses the development of perennial root- and stem-sprouting weeds (dock (species), field bindweed) if applied at the rosette stage of docks (rosette diameter 5-8 cm) and stem length of bindweed not exceeding 10-15 cm. The herbicide can be applied over a wide range of corn growth stages — from 3 to 8 leaves.

Key factors in selecting application timing and dosage:
weed growth stage;
degree of soil coverage and weed suppression by crop plants;
weather conditions at the time of application.

Apply the maximum recommended rate of the product when weed pressure is high and weeds are well-established, or under unfavorable weather conditions. Do not apply the product when dew is heavy or during rainy weather. Rainfall within 4 hours after spraying does not reduce herbicide effectiveness. MILAGRO, CS kills only those sensitive weeds that have emerged at the time of application. For weeds that emerge after herbicide application, inter-row cultivation may be required. Conduct cultivation 10-14 days after spraying. Do not conduct inter-row treatments within 7 days prior to applying MILAGRO, CS. After completing treatment, thoroughly rinse the sprayer and spraying equipment.

Preparation of working solution
Prepare the working solution immediately before spraying. Fill half the sprayer tank with clean water, turn on the mixer, add the calculated and measured amount of the product, and continue filling the tank while mixing. Continue mixing during application to ensure uniformity of the working mixture. When applying MILAGRO, CS in tank mixtures with other pesticides, add the products to water in the sprayer tank in the following order: *SP > VDG > MILAGRO, CS > CS > CS (* — if using a component in water-soluble packaging, dissolve this product first in the sprayer tank). Each subsequent component is added only after the previous one has fully dissolved. The working solution must be used on the day of preparation.

Phytotoxicity
MILAGRO, CS exhibits high selectivity towards corn varieties. Even at application rates twice the recommended amount, the product does not show phytotoxicity to the crop. It is not recommended to apply herbicide on hybridization sites without preliminary phytotoxicity testing. Do not apply MILAGRO, CS if corn seeds and/or plantings were treated with organophosphorus insecticides.

Recommendations for protecting beneficial flora and fauna
The product is low-toxic to birds and bees, but toxic to fish. Avoid contamination of water bodies and drinking water sources with residual herbicide and water used for rinsing containers and equipment. The product must not enter food or feed.

Do not allow livestock access to freshly treated fields. Application should be conducted during morning or evening hours in calm weather.

Possibility of resistance development
None, provided strict adherence to the manufacturer’s recommendations.

Storage of the product
Store the product in a dry pesticide warehouse, in its original sealed packaging, within a temperature range of -5°С to +35°С.
