Description Miura
Systemic pre-emergence herbicide for protection of sugar beet, flax, potato, soybean, vegetable
and other crops

Manufacturer: August
Characteristics

Formulation: concentrate emulsion
Active ingredient: cyclohexanedione, 125 g/l
Chemical class: 2-(4-aryl-oxyphenyl)propionic acids
Mode of action: systemic
Crops: beet, potato, soybean, sunflower, rapeseed, flax, pea, vegetable crops

Advantages

Effective control of virtually all species of annual and perennial grass weeds
Broad registration — on sugar beet, table beet, fodder beet, carrot, onion, cabbage, potato, soybean, winter and spring rapeseed, sunflower, pea, flax
Destruction of not only above-ground parts but also root systems of weeds
Application without restrictions according to crop growth stages
Compatibility with non-selective herbicides in tank mixes

Formulation:
concentrate emulsion.

Active ingredient characteristics:
derivatives of 2-(4-aryl-oxyphenyl)propionic acids.

Herbicidal spectrum:
annual grasses — foxtail, chickweed, common oats, barnyard grass, canary grass, green foxtail, red foxtail, crabgrass, quackgrass, annual bluegrass, self-seeded cereals;

perennial grasses — creeping couch, broad-leaved dock, white clover, common meadow grass, knotgrass, common reed.

Does not affect broadleaf weeds.

Mode of action:
possesses systemic activity. Miuра is rapidly absorbed by leaves and other above-ground parts of weeds and translocated to growth points of stems and roots. The product disrupts lipid synthesis, leading to plant death.

The herbicide affects only weeds present in the crop at the time of application. It does not penetrate the soil and does not affect weeds that emerge after spraying.

Speed of action:
first symptoms of weed suppression appear 7–10 days after spraying, in the form of yellowing of shoot tips. Complete weed death occurs 1–3 weeks after application (depending on weed species and weather conditions).

Protective period:
when crop cultivation technology is followed, provides protection of crops from annual grass weeds from the time of application until the end of the vegetation period. Efficacy may decrease if rain falls within 2 hours after application.

Phytotoxicity and crop tolerance:
not phytotoxic to broadleaf crops when application guidelines are followed.

Risk of resistance development:
no cases of herbicide resistance have been observed. To prevent resistance, it is recommended to alternate use with herbicides of other chemical classes.

Application specifics:
best results are achieved by spraying actively growing weeds. It is important that weeds have enough leaves for rapid absorption of the active ingredient. Application is not recommended for crops under stress from frost, wind, insect damage, nutrient deficiency, or previously applied herbicides.

Restrictions:
not recommended for use in private plots or by aerial application.

Storage conditions:
in specially designated pesticide storage facilities, in hermetically sealed, undamaged factory packaging, at storage temperatures from -20 to +35 °C.

Shelf life:
3 years if the product is stored in unopened factory packaging.

Packaging:
5-liter cans.

Number of applications:
one application permitted per season.

Application method and timing:
annual grasses are sprayed during their active growth stage (from 2–4 leaves to the beginning of tillering), perennial grasses — from the formation of 4–6 leaves when plants reach 10–15 cm height. On sugar beet, soybean, and vegetable crops, application timing is independent of crop growth stage. Flax crops are sprayed at the “elk” stage (when creeping couch reaches 10–15 cm height) to control both annual and perennial grasses.

Preparation of working solution:
the product is mixed in factory packaging beforehand. The sprayer tank is filled approximately halfway with water, the mixer is turned on, the calculated and measured amount of product for one tank is added, and the tank is then filled to the desired level with water while mixing. Mixing continues during application to ensure uniformity of the working solution.

When using Miuра in tank mixes with other pesticides, it is recommended to prepare stock solutions of each product separately, then sequentially mix them in the sprayer tank.

Compatibility:
on sugar beet crops, it can be used in tank mixes with herbicides of the Bicep group (Bicep, Bicep 22, Bicep Garant), Pilot, Lontrel-300; on flax crops — with Gerbitoks, Gerbitoks-L, Magnum, Lontrel-300; on soybean crops — with Fabian, Corsar.

If Miuра is used in tank mixtures, the pesticides should be added to the sprayer tank water in the following order: WG (as stock solution)? EC? EC? Miuра. Each subsequent component is added only after the previous one has fully dissolved as a stock solution. The working solution must be used within several hours after preparation.

Working solution rate:
200–300 liters/ha. In case of dense crop planting or heavy weed infestation, the application rate should be increased.

Time for personnel to return to mechanical operations:
3 days.
