Main advantages
Post-emergence herbicide for the destruction of annual and perennial grassy and some broadleaf weeds in corn crops grown for grain or silage. "Maro" is a highly effective herbicide that kills even persistent perennial weeds, such as bindweed, quackgrass, and also suppresses the development of ragweeds if treated in the rosette stage.
Absorbed by weed leaves and stems and quickly reaches meristematic tissues.
Does not require the addition of surfactants, ensuring ease and simplicity in preparing the working solution.
Can be applied during a wide range of crop development phases, from 4 to 10 leaves.
Weed growth and development stop within several hours after application, complete death occurs within 14–25 days.
Protective period lasts 1–1.5 months.
Application should be carried out during the period of intensive weed and crop growth. To enhance effectiveness against perennial rootstock weeds, it is recommended to use a tank mix of herbicides "Maro" and "Barrel". Cultivation is permitted no earlier than 7 days after treatment. For effective control of grassy weeds, the product can be used in combination with herbicides based on sulfonylureas and dicamba. Application is prohibited in tank mixes with herbicides based on pyridate, benzotriazole, and 2,4-D.
The time required for people to return to treated areas after mechanized work — 3 days; manual work — 7 days.
Maximum number of applications — 1.
Mode of action
The product is safe for the crop at all recommended application stages. The herbicide is absorbed by weed leaves and stems and rapidly moves to the root system. "Maro" inhibits cell division by blocking the synthesis of essential amino acids. Weeds quickly stop growing and competing with the crop, turn reddish within a week, and gradually die completely (approximately within three weeks).
Spectrum of activity
Annual grassy weeds: common fescue, gray and green darnel, large darnel.
Annual broadleaf weeds: ragweed, bindweed, starwort, field forget-me-not, perforated daisy, self-sown poppy, prostrate knotweed, blue knotweed, narrow-leaved knotweed.
Perennial weeds: bindweed, creeping buttercup, bindweed.
Perennial grassy weeds: common quackgrass.
Annual winter weeds: field mustard, oats, field pennycress.
Compatibility with other products
In tank mixes, the herbicide is compatible with most pesticides. However, compatibility must be checked for each specific case.
WHO Classification: Class III (moderately hazardous).
