Systemic post-emergence herbicide for the eradication of annual and perennial broadleaf weeds on cereal crops
Active ingredient: methosulfuron-methyl, 600 g/kg
Manufacturer: Peters and Burg, Hungary
Formulation: wettable powder
Packaging unit: bottle, 50 g
Mode of action
MM 600, upon entering the weed plant through leaves and roots, blocks cell division, stopping plant growth within several hours after application. The first visible symptoms of the herbicide's effect appear within 5 — 7 days, and complete weed death occurs within 15 — 18 days. Unfavorable weather conditions for plant development slow down the herbicide's action and delay the appearance of visible symptoms on weeds.
Characteristics and advantages
— The product is rapidly absorbed by plants, so rain 3 hours after application does not reduce its effectiveness against weeds.
— MM 600 is effective even at temperatures as low as +5°C, significantly expanding the application window for protecting crops.
— Low application rate substantially reduces chemical load per hectare.
— Lowest cost per hectare for weed control.
— Convenient formulation and packaging greatly simplify not only field application but also transportation and storage.
— Compatible with most pesticides and agrochemicals, but compatibility must be checked for each specific combination.
Application recommendations
Applied via ground spraying from the 2 — 3 leaf stage up to the tillering stage in winter and spring cereals. Maximum efficacy is achieved when applied at early weed growth stages — 3 — 6 true leaves for annual broadleaf weeds, and rosette stage for perennial broadleaf weeds. The maximum annual dosage of MM 600 should not exceed 10 g/ha.
Warning:
— Not recommended for use on fields where crops are under stress from adverse conditions — drought, cold, etc.;
— Do not apply on fields treated with MM 600, organophosphorus insecticides, or malathion group insecticides;
— Not recommended to sow sugar beet or vegetable crops the following year on cereal fields treated with MM 600;
— Not recommended to sow buckwheat or sunflower after cereal crops treated with MM 600 if soil pH exceeds 7.5, or after prolonged drought following application.
To prepare the working solution, fill the sprayer tank with water to 1/3 volume. Activate the mixing mode and add the required amount of MM 600. Fill the sprayer tank to full capacity while the mixing mode is active. During application, keep the mixing mode active to maintain homogeneous solution. When preparing tank mixtures, dissolve MM 600 first, then add the partner component.
For more effective control of weeds such as common chickweed, field bindweed, black nightshade, and ragweed, MM 600 should be applied in tank mixtures with 2,4-D acid herbicides.
Sprayer cleaning
Cleaning the sprayer is crucial, as even small amounts of the product may damage sensitive crops that may be treated with this sprayer. Clean the sprayer tank, boom, and hoses with clean water and 1% household ammonia solution according to instructions on the packaging label.
