Autumn variety from the K. A. Timiryazev Academy of Agricultural Sciences. Obtained by pollinating the 'Olga' variety with a pollen mixture of 'Lesnaya Krasavitsa', 'Lyubimitsa Klappa', and 'Kashkarnok'. Breeders: S. T. Chizhov, S. P. Potapov, N. V. Agafonov, A. V. Isachkin, A. G. Matushkin, V. I. Susov, I. I. Khanzhiyan. Introduced to the State Variety Testing Institute in 1997. Approved for cultivation in the Central region.
Medium-statured tree with a moderately dense, rounded crown. High bud dormancy break, moderate shoot formation ability. Fruit set is primarily concentrated on shoots of various ages.
Shoots are curved, dark cherry-brown; buds are mostly pressed. Stipules are small to medium, oval, of medium number. Leaves are of medium size, elongated-oval in shape. Leaf margin is sharply toothed. Petiole is of medium length and thickness. Stipules are of medium size.
Fruits are medium-sized (mass 111 g), pear-shaped, slightly asymmetric, bumpy. Fruit skin is thin. Main color is yellow, with a reddish blush covering 1/3 of the fruit. Subcutaneous dots are small, of medium number. Calyx is very small, narrow, ribbed. Pedicel is of medium length and thick.
Flesh is white, tender, pleasantly tart-sweet in flavor, very juicy, semi-oily. Fruit attractiveness is rated 4.1, flavor 3.9. Chemical composition: dry matter - 12.12%, sugar content - 7.2%, acid content - 0.56%.
Harvest maturity occurs in early September, when the main fruit color develops. Fruits ripen quickly on the tree. Fruit consumption period - first half of September. In refrigerator, fruits are stored until end of September.
Fruits are of universal use.
Grafted plants begin fruiting on the 3rd-4th year of life. High yield. The variety is highly winter-hardy; during the severe winter of 1978/79, it suffered moderate damage. Highly resistant to scab and fruit rot; resistant to brown spot.
Advantages of the variety: good yield, high winter hardiness, high resistance to scab and fruit rot, good fruit quality.
Disadvantages of the variety: short fruit consumption period; in dry and hot summers, fruits exhibit excessive bitterness and acidity, reducing flavor rating.
