The vegetable pea variety Standana is a late-maturing variety with a maturity period of about 71-72 days, intended for fresh consumption, freezing, and canning. The plant is robust, reaching 70-80 cm in height, with concentrated pod placement, forming several pods per node. Pods are large, containing about 8 green, round, well-flavored peas. Technical maturity occurs at a sum of active temperatures of 940°, enabling the use of peas in various climatic conditions.
The Standana variety is characterized by high yield — up to 36 centners per hectare, exceeding standard values by 4 centners per hectare. The plant has a medium-length stem with hairy, leafless flowers, large white blooms, and wrinkled small seeds with green cotyledons. The height of attachment of lower pods is 34-47 cm, and the pea in technical maturity has a dark green color and good taste. Due to its high resistance to Fusarium wilt (Fop:1) and powdery mildew (Ep), the variety is reliable for cultivation and suitable for various regions, including the Central Chernozem region.
