Gladiolus EBONY BEAUTY

Practical insights on growing Ebony Beauty

Working with the gladiolus varieties bred by Vyacheslav Kolos requires a professional touch. The 'Ebony Beauty' cultivar is a sophisticated choice for those who prioritize aesthetics and structural depth in a flower garden. This variety is not merely a plant; it is a high-performance decorative tool.

Maintenance and cultivation

The variety features distinctively ruffled petals with a flower diameter of 9-11 cm. Regarding its performance in the field, it shows moderate weather resistance. It does not handle heavy rain or high winds particularly well, so staking is a non-negotiable part of the routine to maintain the floral presentation. For those growing it for cut flowers, immediate hydration and regular stem trimming are crucial to maintain its longevity in a vase.

Operational specifics

• Decorative Value: Its deep, intense coloration provides a striking contrast, making it perfect for high-end landscape compositions.
• Blooming Cycle: The long-lasting flowering period ensures that the labor invested in planting yields extended visual rewards.
• Propagation: The cultivar produces healthy cormels, which allows for efficient propagation and quick expansion of your stock without external input.

If you are looking for a reliable, visually demanding plant that rewards careful maintenance, 'Ebony Beauty' is a staple for any serious grower's collection.
