The «Sofia» garlic is a breeding product developed by Timofey Mikhailovich Seredin and Yuri Vasilyevich Koryagin. This is a critical factor for regions with high soil moisture or risks of soil-borne infections, as Fusarium basal rot is the primary cause of storage losses.

• Weight Characteristics: Medium-sized bulb, ranging from 50 to 60 grams. This size is considered optimal for retail sales and convenient for industrial processing.
• Clove Structure: Each bulb contains 6–8 cloves. This density allows the bulb to maintain structural integrity during mechanized harvesting and transportation.
• Tunic/Scales: The violet color of the outer skin is not just an aesthetic trait but also an indicator of anthocyanins, which indirectly contribute to the protective functions of the skin.
