Feed Beet Galits'kyi

A Reliable Choice for Long-Term Storage

The «Halytskyi» fodder beet is a product of the research conducted by the Institute of Agriculture of the Western Region of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine. This variety has established itself as a staple in the Ukrainian livestock sector, known for its predictability and practicality for farms focused on ensuring a robust feed reserve throughout the winter.

Agrotechnological Profile

This is a mid-season variety with a vegetation period of 100–110 days. The cylindrical shape of the root crop simplifies the harvesting process, whether mechanical or manual, which is crucial for efficient farm operations. A standout feature of the «Halytskyi» variety is its inherent resistance to the beet flea beetle, which significantly reduces the pressure on crops during early development stages and lowers the need for intensive insecticide applications.

Why Farmers Choose Halytskyi

• Storage Quality: High durability and resistance to storage decay ensure the feed maintains its nutritional value well into the spring season.
• Adaptability: Genetics tailored specifically for the Ukrainian climate allow for consistent yields even under variable weather conditions.
• Efficiency: The structure of the root crop allows for easy soil removal during harvest, saving labor costs.

For those looking for a reliable, time-tested variety that minimizes storage losses, the «Halytskyi» fodder beet remains one of the most effective solutions within the domestic selection segment.
