Longma

Longma F1 — a late-maturing hybrid of white cabbage from the Dutch company Rijk Zwaan, intended for cultivation in open ground. The vegetative period is 140–150 days, allowing for harvest in late season. Heads have a round shape, dense structure, and deep dark green color with a waxy coating. Average fruit weight varies from 2 to 6 kg depending on growing conditions, with the hybrid exhibiting uniformity and attractive market appearance.

Longma F1 plants are characterized by high resistance to adverse weather conditions, including dry summers, as well as to diseases such as fusarium and thrips infestation. This makes the hybrid a reliable choice for farmers aiming to obtain a stable and high-quality yield. The cabbage can be stored for up to six months, allowing its use both for retail sales and for processing and preparation of various dishes, including winter preserves.

Growing Longma F1 requires adherence to specific agronomic practices: sowing seeds for seedlings in February in trays or special containers, with a planting density of 5–6 plants per square meter and a population of 30–50 thousand plants per hectare. The optimal temperature for growth is +15–+18 degrees. Main care includes regular watering, weed removal, and 2–3 fertilizations, which promote vigorous growth and formation of high-quality heads.
