Description LILAC SPIRAL
Lilac Spiral is a delphinium variety from the Pacific Hybrids group, characterized by an upright bush reaching about 150 cm in height with medium stem strength. The inflorescence has a pyramidal shape, is dense and branched, measuring approximately 100×15 cm, and contains up to 100 round flowers with a diameter of 5–6 cm. The lilac-hued flowers, with a bluish lower row of sepals and a white eye, gradually fade by the end of the flowering period.

The plant flowered from mid-June; the flowering duration is 30 to 45 days. During this time, the delphinium is able to reopen bud buds, making it a versatile element of garden decor. Lilac Spiral is resistant to many diseases: aster yellows, dwarfing, spotted wilt, ring spot, and mottling, as well as powdery mildew.

For delphinium cultivation, sunny or semi-shaded locations are preferred. The soil should be moist, loose, neutral, and nutrient-rich; loams rich in humus ensure the best growth. If soil acidity is high, the plant must be limed. Propagation is done via seeds (80% of plants retain variety characteristics), bush division every 4–5 years, and cuttings. Care includes timely thinning of bushes to 3–5 stems per plant, feeding with ash and manure in spring and autumn, loosening the soil in summer, and pruning faded stems to maintain shape and stimulate reblooming.
