Delphinium 'King Arthur' – a perennial herbaceous garden plant from the Buttercup family, reaching heights from 1.0 to 1.6 m and widths up to 50 cm. Its tubular stems and massive inflorescences create an effective visual accent in flower beds, fences, hedges, and when landscaping lawns. The flowers have a rich dark blue-violet hue with white centers, a diameter of 5–7 cm, and inflorescence heights of about 60 cm, making them suitable for both living compositions and floral bouquets.
The plant prefers sunny locations and fertile soils with moderate moisture. For planting, a depth of 2–3 cm and a distance between plants of about 20 cm is recommended, which ensures good air circulation and prevents competition for nutrients. Delphinium 'King Arthur' is resistant to hot conditions and easily withstands moderate frosts, not requiring additional shelter during the cold season.
The flowering period lasts from June to September, with two possible periods: early – beginning of summer, late – end of August or September. To maintain the intensity and duration of flowering, it is recommended to regularly remove withered inflorescences. Care for the plant is simple: moderate watering, especially during the active growth period, and weeding as needed. Thanks to its resistance to diseases and unpretentious nature, 'King Arthur' easily fits into both group plantings and single compositions, adding elegance and brightness to the garden.
