Description ALSHANA
ALSHANA is a single-seed diploid hybrid of sugar beet (Beta vulgaris L. ssp. vulgaris var. saccharifera Alef.) on a sterile base, intended for cultivation in the Central Black Earth, North Caucasus, and Urals regions. The hybrid features a technological root vegetable shape, characterized by a wide-conical and elongated form with a mass of approximately 395.5 g. The vegetation period ranges from 140 to 180 days, allowing flexible use under various climatic conditions. Yield reaches up to 95 t/ha, while sugar content varies within 19.4–21%, ensuring high sugar output and production efficiency.

ALSHANA possesses moderate resistance to root rots, including pit rot, as well as resistance to root-eating insects, which helps preserve the quality and quantity of the harvest. Thanks to these characteristics, the hybrid is suitable for launching sugar factories and industrial sugar production. High sugar content and stable yield make it a profitable choice for farmers seeking maximum return from crops.

Sugar beet ALSHANA, like other varieties of this plant, contains important health vitamins of groups B, PP, and C, as well as trace elements—iodine, magnesium, iron, copper, calcium, and phosphorus. Additionally, its composition includes bioflavonoids, pectins, and betaine, expanding the possibilities for using root vegetables not only for sugar production but also for obtaining molasses, pulp, and feed. This makes the hybrid universal and in demand in the agro-industrial complex.
