Cucumber Zena F1 is a parthenocarpic Beta-type hybrid intended for cultivation both in open and protected ground. The plant features a strong root system and indeterminate growth type with a main stem length of about 200 cm and weak branching. Leaves are medium-sized and green, with female flowers. The hybrid is highly adaptable to high temperatures and drought-tolerant, making it suitable for various climatic conditions. Zena cucumber fruits have a cylindrical shape, deep dark green color, smooth surface with sparse bumps. Fruit length varies from 12 to 18 cm, weight ranges from 100 to 150 g. They have good taste and maintain marketable appearance during transportation. The plant forms 1–2 fruits per axil, promoting rapid fruit set and regenerative capacity. The hybrid is resistant to major diseases, including cucumber mosaic virus (ZYMV), powdery mildew, and downy mildew, ensuring stable yields. The cucumber Zena's vegetation period is 38–42 days, enabling early harvest. Recommended planting density for protected ground is 2–3 plants per square meter, for open ground — about 35,000 plants per hectare. Average yield reaches 2.4 kg per square meter. The hybrid is suitable for fresh consumption and processing, can be grown in spring crop rotation and summer in open ground, as well as in greenhouses. Optimal growing conditions include sunny or semi-shaded locations.
