Cucumber Alligator

Cucumber variety Alligator is a high-yielding early hybrid with a vegetation period of 38 to 48 days. The plant is vigorous and robust, with a cluster-type fruit set, allowing one to three fruits to form in a single leaf axil. The main stem can reach up to 2.5 meters in height, and the leaves are flat and well-formed. This variety is suitable for cultivation both in open ground on trellises and in protected conditions, demonstrating high resistance to diseases, stress, and adverse conditions, including low light. Alligator fruits have an elongated-cylindrical shape, 30 to 40 centimeters long, and weigh approximately 280-310 grams. The skin is dark green, large-warty, and thin, giving the cucumbers an attractive appearance. The cucumbers have juicy, sweet, tender flesh without bitterness, making them ideal for fresh consumption. Due to their size and taste qualities, Alligator cucumbers are excellent for salads and light snacks, although they are considered less suitable for pickling and preservation due to their large size. The Alligator variety is valued for its long fruiting period and high yield, averaging 14-16 kg per square meter. The hybrid is resistant to powdery mildew and other common diseases, making care easier and increasing yield stability. Due to its taste qualities and resilience, this variety is popular among gardeners seeking high-quality, flavorful cucumbers for fresh consumption.
