KOLYAN is a self-pollinating parthenocarpic cucumber hybrid, distinguished by high cold resistance and a prolonged fruiting period lasting until frost. The plant is indeterminate, moderately branched, predominantly female-flowering, ensuring stable fruit set. Leaves are medium-sized, green, and fruits form in clusters of 3–4 per node, promoting high yield.
KOLYAN fruits have cylindrical or spindle-shaped forms with short necks, light green or dark green coloration, and large bumps with medium-density white hairs. Green cucumber length ranges from 8 to 12 cm, weight approximately 126–138 grams. They are dense, crisp, free of bitterness and voids, making them especially valuable for pickling and canning. Due to their resistance to overgrowth and consistent flavor, the hybrid is suitable for both fresh salad use and preservation.
KOLYAN is recommended for spring-summer rotation in plastic greenhouse cultivation, where it demonstrates resistance to powdery mildew and tolerance to false powdery mildew. Yield reaches 6.6–8.2 kg per square meter. This hybrid is especially prized by gardeners for its early, uniform, and abundant harvest, as well as for stable fruit quality, retaining excellent taste and market characteristics throughout the fruiting period.
