URANO

The cucumber URANO is an early-maturing parthenocarpic hybrid, distinguished by high marketability and excellent taste qualities. From germination to the start of fruiting, it takes 38-40 days. The plant is medium-branched with a bouquet-type fruit formation, forming 3-4 fruits in the leaf axils. The cucumbers have a cylindrical shape, length of 9-12 cm, thickness of 2.2-2.5 cm, and weight of 60-80 g. They are dark green with a bluish bloom, white-tipped, and slightly ribbed. Genetically free of bitterness, they have a firm texture, no hollows, crispness, and excellent flavor.

The URANO hybrid is resistant to the main complex of fungal, bacterial, and viral diseases, making it a reliable choice for cultivation in both open and protected ground. The recommended planting density is 3-3.5 plants per square meter. Yield in open ground reaches up to 14 kg per square meter, while in protected ground exceeds 20 kg per square meter. For maximum yield in greenhouses, the plant is grown on trellis, with the first 3-4 fruits removed and 2-3 lower lateral branches pinched off, along with regular watering and feeding with mineral and organic fertilizers.

Harvesting is performed every 2-3 days, as irregular harvesting reduces both yield and quality of cucumbers. The cucumber URANO is suitable for cultivation under various climatic conditions, including open ground, and is characterized by high productivity and resilience, making it attractive for farmers and gardeners.
