Cucumber variety "Strong Nut" is a new early-maturing parthenocarpic hybrid designed for cultivation in open ground, under plastic coverings, and in glass greenhouses. This variety features exclusively female flowering, eliminating the need for pollination, and ensures high productivity and prolonged fruiting. The plant vines have medium size, and the cucumbers are cylindrical, bright green with large bumps and white down. Fruit weight is 65-75 grams at a length of 9-10 cm, with a length-to-diameter ratio of approximately 3.3:1. Variety "Strong Nut" exhibits high resistance to major cucumber diseases, including cucumber mosaic virus, true powdery mildew, olive spot, and also demonstrates high tolerance to false powdery mildew. Additionally, it is resistant to cladosporiosis, bacterial disease, and other common diseases, making it a reliable choice for various climatic conditions. The flavor qualities of the fruits are excellent, with no bitterness, allowing cucumbers to be used for fresh consumption, as well as for canning and pickling. For successful cultivation of this variety, it is recommended to use fertile, medium-loam, and well-aerated soils. Good predecessors include potato, onion, cabbage, and pepper. Seed sowing is performed at a depth of 1.5-2 cm at a temperature of around 25°C, followed by a reduction to 20°C. Transplanting seedlings occurs after the threat of frost, when soil temperature exceeds 13°C and air temperature exceeds 15°C. Recommended planting density is 3-4 plants per 1 m². For plant care, use plastic covering, guide stems along trellises, and pinch off lower fruits and side shoots to ensure proper development. For watering and fertilizing, specialized fertilizers are recommended. Yield of this variety reaches up to 17 kg/m² in open ground and up to 27 kg/m² in greenhouses, with fruiting beginning 40-47 days after mass emergence.
