Description LUCY ON THE COUNTRY
Cucumber Lucy on the Country F1 is an early parthenocarpic hybrid of exclusively female flowering, which does not require pollination by bees. This variety is suitable for cultivation in open ground, as well as in film and glass greenhouses, making it a universal choice for various conditions. The plant is medium-height, and two fruits form per flower, contributing to high yield and prolonged fruiting.

The cucumbers of Lucy on the Country have a cornichon-type shape with small seed chambers and an egg-shaped form. They are medium-bumpy with a small number of light-brown spines. The fruit mass is 85-95 grams, length varies from 9 to 11 cm, and diameter from 3.2 to 3.4 cm, with a length-to-diameter ratio of 3:1. The cucumbers have a firm structure, crisp texture, and excellent taste qualities both fresh and for preservation or pickling. Moreover, the fruits do not contain bitterness, significantly increasing their consumer appeal.

The Lucy on the Country F1 variety exhibits high resistance to major cucumber diseases, including cucumber mosaic virus, true powdery mildew, olive spot, vein yellowing virus, leaf target spot, and tolerance to false powdery mildew. Additionally, it tolerates adverse weather conditions, allowing cultivation even indoors. Yield upon multiple harvests reaches up to 15 kg per square meter in open ground and up to 25 kg in greenhouses, with fruiting beginning as early as 41-45 days after mass germination.
