Cucumber Sorvanets

High-Performance Field Cucumber

For growers focusing on open-field cultivation, the "Sorvanets" cucumber (developed by Gavrish) is a reliable asset. This bee-pollinated variety is designed to withstand the harsh conditions of field production, offering robust natural resistance to common threats like powdery mildew, root rot, and olive spot. By choosing a variety with built-in defenses against tobacco mosaic virus and various fungal blights, you significantly reduce your expenditure on intensive fungicide applications.

Operational Efficiency

The plant exhibits a generative growth habit. In practical terms, this means the plant prioritizes fruit development over excessive foliage, making the vines easier to manage and prune. This shift in energy allocation ensures that the majority of the plant's resources go directly into yield.

• Fruit Specifications: Each cucumber reaches 10–12 cm in length with a target weight of 80–100 grams, meeting standard market requirements for size and consistency.
• Quality and Marketability: The light green, heavily warted (knobby) skin gives the fruit a classic, crunchy appearance that consumers equate with high-quality pickling or fresh-market cucumbers.
• Field Hardiness: Proven resistance to downy mildew and brown spot ensures that your crop remains healthy throughout the harvest season, even under suboptimal weather conditions.

If you need a low-maintenance, high-stability crop for open-field operations, "Sorvanets" provides a dependable balance of ease of care and professional-grade output.
