Satomi

Satomi F1 (KS 84 F1) cucumber is an early parthenocarpic hybrid of cornichon type developed by the Dutch breeders of KitanoSeeds company. The plant has a balanced vegetative-generative type with a strong root system and short internodes, ensuring high productivity and abundant fruit set. One axil forms 2 to 4 green cucumbers 10-12 cm long, which are characterized by a rich green color and large-warty surface. The vegetation period is 40-45 days, allowing early harvest in greenhouse and stationary greenhouses, as well as in open ground during spring-summer and summer-autumn periods. The Satomi F1 cucumber fruits have a dense, uniform internal structure with a small seed cavity, providing crisp and juicy flesh without bitterness. When overgrown, the cucumbers do not become bottle-shaped, do not toughen, and do not yellow, preserving their market appearance and flavor qualities. The hybrid is highly stress-tolerant, does not drop fruit, and has a long fruiting period. Due to tolerance to major diseases such as powdery mildew, leaf spot, and viruses, Satomi F1 maintains plant health and stable yield. Satomi F1 cucumbers are suitable for fresh consumption, including salads, as well as for pickling and fermentation.
