CUCUMBER PROSPECT

Cucumber variety "Cucumber Prospect" is a modern parthenocarpic hybrid with female flowering, requiring no pollination and completely free of bitterness. This hybrid is characterized by exceptionally early maturation — the first fruits appear as early as 33-35 days after sowing, while the fruiting period is very prolonged. The plant forms 3-4 fruits per node, ensuring high yield. The cucumbers have a cylindrical shape, large-buckled, up to 12 cm long and weighing up to 95 g, crisp, aromatic, and without hollows, making them suitable for fresh consumption and canning.

"Cucumber Prospect" is intended for cultivation in open ground, under temporary plastic covers, and in various types of greenhouses. The hybrid demonstrates excellent resistance to high and low temperatures, allowing harvests even until the onset of frost. It also exhibits high resistance to diseases such as powdery mildew, downy mildew, cucumber mosaic virus, and cladosporeiosis, significantly reducing the need for chemical protection.

For successful cultivation, it is recommended to sow seedlings in early May at a depth of 0.5-1 cm, followed by transplanting into open ground or greenhouses at the age of 15-20 days, following a 30x40 cm spacing. Irrigation should be carried out with warm water, and soil loosening should be superficial to avoid damaging the roots. Fertilization should be conducted every 7-10 days, alternating organic and mineral fertilizers, starting two weeks after transplanting seedlings. With proper agronomic practices and care, "Cucumber Prospect" ensures a stable and abundant harvest of tasty and high-quality cucumbers.
