Cucumber NORMANDO

Cucumber Normando F1 is an early-maturing parthenocarpic slicer-type hybrid developed by breeders in Spain. The vegetation period is 39-44 days from transplanting seedlings, enabling rapid harvest. The plant features a balanced and open growth type with short internodes, promoting even and stable yield throughout the season. The hybrid tolerates low temperatures and insufficient light, making it suitable for cultivation in various greenhouse conditions, including glass and plastic structures, as well as for year-round production. Normando cucumber fruits have a rich dark green color with a characteristic gloss and medium ribbed surface. Fruit length ranges from 16 to 18 cm, and diameter from 3 to 3.5 cm, meeting the standards of salad cucumbers. The fruits are dense, uniformly shaped, with large spines, and possess excellent flavor and consumer qualities. Due to their dense structure, the cucumbers withstand transportation well and retain freshness for a long time, making them popular in fresh vegetable markets. The Normando hybrid exhibits high resistance to major cucumber diseases, including cladosporiosis, as well as moderate resistance to yellow vein virus and downy mildew. This ensures stable yield and reduces the need for intensive chemical protection. Thanks to its characteristics and adaptability, cucumber Normando F1 is an excellent choice for greenhouse farms aiming to produce high-quality, high-yield crops under various climatic conditions.
